Our First Joey Investitures

On Tuesday 4th August, Deer Park's first ever Joeys, brothers Ignatius and Luca, were invested in a ceremony held at 1st Caroline Springs Scout hall. We thank not only 1st Caroline Springs for hosting our Joey's but everyone who has enabled this to happen.

The final parade with Joeys, Cubs, Scouts and Leaders ready for the investitures.

Ingnatius was first with Melanie presenting him with his membership badge.

Next is Ania presenting Ignatius with Australian Scout badge.

Zac presents Ignatius with Kororoit District badge.

Proudly, Steve (the current District Leader - Venturers and former 1st Deer Park Group Leader) presents Ignatius with his 1st Deer Park scarf.

Now it's Luca's turn and he recites the Joey Promise with his Leader Dingo

It's Luca's turn to be presented with his Australian Scout badge by Ania

And his 1st Deer Park name tape by Hayden

Lastly Luca is presented with his Kororoit District badge by Zac

One day we hope Luca will be a Scout and he'll have to bend down to present a new Joey with their badges.
