We Catered For The District's

Annual General Meeting

On Thursday 29th May, the Unit continued a long standing tradition (well, for the past 2 years anyway) of catering for and serving at Brimbank District's Annual General Meeting.

It was a HUGE! night with the Unit doing the Intrepid Leader proud by turning out in full Uniform and showing the District what a great lot we really are. It was rumoured the Chief Commissioner was going to be there and conversation was flying thick and fast as to the likes and dislikes of the proposed new uniform. Althougth the Chief Commissioner never showed, those present were left in no doubt as to our view on the proposed changes.

As part of the precedings of the night, it was the Intrepid Leader's pleasure to present the 'Bruce Proud Award'. This award is presented annually the the Venturer in the District who over the previous 12 months had shown 'outstanding achievement and citizenship'. This year the award went to one of very own Venturers, Ambre. The following photos were taken on the night and show the Unit doing their thing. Thanks go to Elaine (Kieran's mum) for being our photographer on the night.

Ambre cooked up a storm on the deep fryer with the spring rolls.
