Update - 20th January 2003.

On a sad note, less than one week after our return from the Venture, much of the Cotter site was lost to the bush fires that ravaged Canberra. Information to hand says most of the non camping area and some of the buildings (the caretaker's house and shower block were saved) went up in flames mid afternoon on Saturday 18th, 5 days after we returned home. Add this to the other external expedition sites which were burnt out and is a sad time for the A.C.T.. Our hearts go out to those who have lost everything. We hope the rebuilding program is swift and things get back to normal as soon as possible.
