Daniel's Queen's Scout Presentation

After what seemed to be a very short time, Daniel achieved his Queens Scout. As I said during his presentation, Daniel is the youngest Queens Scout recipient in the Unit's recent history completing all the requirements before his 17th birthday. The big day was held on 13th March and was attended by all Daniel's family and friends. Daniel had been a stalwart of the Unit for the 2 years he had been a member, being the Unit's treasurer most of his time on Unit Council. During this time he kept the Unit on the financial straight and narrow, never giving the Intrepid Leader any cause for concern.

The Intrepid Leader does the intro's to get the show on the road. Daniel thought it best if he hid behind the candles.

First off is Roger (current GL Daniel's Cub Leader).

Then it's Bob's turn to talk about Daniel's time in Scouts.

Heather and the guys from Sunbury and Craigieburn watch on.

Andrew reads part of Daniel's service.

Then it was Chris' turn. Chris is from Craigieburn and was a member of the winning team at the 2003 Hoadley Hide.

Natalie, Daniel's older sister and former 1st Deer Park Venturer also took part in the service.

Daniel lit each of the candles while he recited the Scout Laws.

Mike, Brimbank District's D.C. read Daniel the Queen's Scout Charge.

While the Intrepid Leader helped Daniel with the reciting of the Scout Promise.

The big moment. Daniel received his Queen's Scout Badge.

Julie presents the Group Committee's gift, the Queens Scout plaque.

Daniel is presented with the Group's Queens Scout Honour Board by G.L. Roger.

Daniel responds. For those of you who know Daniel, it was mostly audible.
