Ashleigh's Investiture at Albert Park

After a deal of discussion and thought, Ashleigh finally decided on the site for his investiture - the Albert Park Sailing Club. He chose this because, to start off with, he is a member plus it also gave the Unit a chance to have a B.B.Q. tea, watch t.v., listen to music and play pool , all courtesy of the sailing club.

Unfortunately, the turn out was far less than we expected so the night lacked a bit but it went off well never the less. Thanks go to Ginter who cooked our tea and the Albert Park Sailing Club for the use of the facilities.

Ashleigh chose to have his investiture ceremony in the boat shed.

In the absence of anyone from Unit Council (except Ashleigh of course) we shared the role of sliding on the epaulettes.

Now here's some faces only mothers could love. Mark, Tim and Kieran put on their best smiles.

If you can tell me what's going on here, then let me know.

After the ceremony, Ashleigh and the intrepid leader went for a wander around the boat shed looking at the yachts.

The intrepid leader decided that "This is the place for a Laser".

Chef for the night was Ashleigh's dad Ginter. He cooks a mean sausage doesn't he Mark.

.

Sausage?, hamburger?, onion?, mushrooms? - we had it all.

Just in case you are wondering, the sign says:

"Place Your Dirty Mugs Here".
