Our annual trip to the W.F. Waters Rover Chalet at Mount Baw Baw had been in the planning for, well for 12 months and in the final month there had been a lot of monitoring and praying for snow. All to no avail I'm afraid. Yes, sorry to say that, for the second year running, there was absolutely no snow at Mount Baw Baw.
Still, the chalet was near enough to full and there was still more than enough to see and do. The Intrepid Leader even conned Ambre (our new A.V.L.), Mark (back from Rovers for the trip) and Chris into going for a walk around the Village Trail and up and over the summit. A trip of about 6 kilometres which took 2 hours. Meanwhile Jess, Nathan and Teo were back at the chalet busy being Jess, Nathan and Teo.
As there wasn't much happening out doors, the Rovers organised for everyone to get into the resort's Blue Light Disco on the Saturday night. Thanks Caroline and Paul, but I don't think the Venturers got much action there either :-)
