'Wilddayz' Spinnaker's Sailing Club Reunion

After much planning, on the weekend of 13th and 14th October 2012 we held a reunion for the members of the ''Spinnaker's Sailing Club @ Beauty Point" expedition from the 'Wilddayz' Tasmanian Venture earlier in the year. Due to the Intrepid Expedition Manager's involvement with the Victorian Guide Scout Water Activity Centre, it was the logical place to hold the reunion.

8 Venturers and Line Leader Risty (we missed you JD) enjoyed a full weekend of sailing and night time movies in a variety of sailing conditions from less then 5 knots to over 10 knots and not one boat was toppled. An excellent effort considering the experience of some of these sailors.

This was just a fun weekend with a touch of learning along the way.

If anyone needed to fill in a log book for sailing or any other adventurous activity it can be found here

Thomas, Daniel, and Jeremy get ready to set off on the first day.

I'm not sure who was flying the Skull and Crossbones but you can probably guess from the sail number.

Chrispy Georgia and David just bopping along.

Thomas having a rest whilst Daniel and Jeremy take it easy in the light winds.

Chris hamming it up whilst Aiden and Risty do all the work.

and now they having a nice, relaxing sail.

In the afternoon the winds picked up so we ventured to the wreck of the Cerberus.

David, Georgia and Chrispy sail around the Cerberus.

With the wind picking up, a well balanced boat.

The crew on the rocks at the end of the Sandringham Yacht Club wall - Chris, Thomas, Georgia, David, Chrispy, Jeremy and Daniel.

Some of the boys still in bed on the Sunday morning.

Out again on the water on Sunday morning trying to make it to Brighton.

Now, this is a well balanced pacer. Pity it's going so slowly.

What a life hey ??

Jeremy, Daniel and Thomas (in the bow)

Now this is a well balanced boat, pity it was by mistake.

Risty keeping the sails asleep whilst Chris takes the helm in the light winds.

This is what is looks like from behind

Do these ripples mean anything ???

Exactly how many people are on this boat? Would you believe 3 ??

Ah, this is the life isn't it David, Georgia and Chrispy ??

The joys of being becalmed, well almost.
